The life and death of a television series depend on whether or not we, the viewers, tune in each week. When the various award nominations come around, the fact that the viewers have absolutely no say as to who gets recognized for their hard work and ultimately, takes home the gold is a bitter pill to swallow. Thanks to the
People's Choice Awards, television viewers have the power to bestow an award to our favorite stars and shows.
This year's nominees were a varied bunch of tried and true favorites, mixed with deserving newcomers. Did your favorite stars and shows win the
35th Annual People's Choice Award? Find out who was nominated, who won and
catch a glimpse of your favorite stars as they walked the red carpet.

In less than a week, season three of the hit ABC Family series
Kyle XY gets underway. It's been almost a year since the second part of season two ended, but no need to worry if you forgot what happened -- the DVD has hit the shelves and is looking to find a good home!
Season two introduced Jessi XX, another being just like Kyle. However, as Kyle woke up from his pod in the peace and quiet of the forest, Jessi awoke in the middle of a raging fire. As similar and connected as the two may seem, their personalities couldn't be any more different. Will they be able to use their superior knowledge to make the world a better place or will the two become mortal enemies?
The
season two DVD is loaded with goodies sure to please any
Kyle XY fan. Get the scoop on this six-disc DVD set and be sure to tune into season three of
Kyle XY next Monday on ABC Family. Can't wait to see the premiere? The first episode of the new season is available right now at
Fancast.

The series that never fails to shock us (and even blush a little at times) returns for the
second half of season five. After moving to Los Angeles from Miami,
Sean and
Christian began new lives and dove right into the lives of the rich, famous and notorious.
The
first part of season five concluded almost a year ago, but I don't think viewers have forgotten the disturbing events that took place in the final episode. Here are just a few of the major plot points from last season....
- Julia became a lesbian. Her lover's teenage daughter, Eden, spend most of the season poisoning her -- and then shot her once Julia confronted the young woman.
- Sean and Eden had an affair, as did Christian and Julia.
- Christian accidentally pushed Gina off a roof. He also learned that he has a daughter -- who was having an affair with Matt.
- Sean became a television celebrity and soon grabbed the attention of a dangerously psychotic woman who stabbed him several times and left him dying on the operating room floor in the last scene of the final episode.
Can't remember what happened last season? No worries, we've put together a handy
refresher course, along with a glimpse (with spoilers!) into what viewers can expect as the second part of season five gets underway on Tuesday.

Is Heather Locklear Moving Back to Melrose Place?
Thursday January 1, 2009

For many years, the late
Aaron Spelling called
Heather Locklear his "lucky charm" because as soon as he cast her in each of his three struggling shows, the ratings would suddenly soar to new heights. Is the CW hoping this beautiful actress will bring that same luck to their
Melrose Place spinoff?
According to
Marc Malkin at E! Online, Locklear "has been approached to reprise her role as conniving advertising vixen Amanda Woodward on the upcoming new
Melrose Place."
Since her days on
Melrose,
Locklear hasn't had much success on the small screen, or her personal life for that matter. Following her
much-publicized divorce from rocker Richie Sambora, the actress is rumored to have
contemplated suicide, spent some time in a facility for depression, and was recently
arrested for DUI. This role could be just what she needs to get her life back on track.
Would you like to see Amanda Woodward move back to
Melrose Place? Could her hubby Peter Burns and his co-worker Michael Mancini be far behind? Stay tuned folks; the script writing is underway and casting for this new series is only moments away!
